News IBTS Supports the GOVGreen Conference
October 01, 2010 - Herndon, VA: The Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) has joined with other leading environmental groups to support the GOVgreen Conference and Exposition -- the first all government, all green event designed to connect federal government and military professionals with green resources and solutions.The Conference, which is sponsored by the Center for Environmental Innovation and Leadership, will be held November 9 and 10, 2010, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. It will feature 30 education sessions and an exhibit hall devoted to more than 1,000 green products and solutions.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will be the opening session keynote speaker. Other plenary session speakers include Dr. Kathleen Hogan, Deputy Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of Energy; Craig Hooks, Assistant Administrator, Office of Administration and Resources Management, Environmental Protection Agency; Robert Peck, Commissioner, Public Buildings, U.S. General Services Administration; and Dr. Dorothy Robyn, Deputy Undersecretary of Defense, Installations and Environment, U.S. Department of Defense.

Other GOVgreen affiliates include the International City-County Management Association, American Institute of Architects, US Green Building Council National Capital Region, American Society of Landscape Architects, Alliance to Save Energy, Intelligent Transportation Society of America, and Fuel Cells 2000.
